Celebrating 75 Years of Sanatan Dharma Swayamsevak Sangh

The Sanatan Dharma Swayamsevak Sangh (SDSS) – Myanmar marked its 75th anniversary with celebrations across 14 locations in six Vibhags. The programs included havan-puja, rangoli, and Suryanamaskar competitions, engaging 1,603 participants with enthusiasm. Highlights included 75 Karyakarta couples performing havan and the pledge to undertake 75 impactful initiatives in 2025, such as planting 750 trees, conducting Sanskar Sadhna Vargas, and expanding Shakhas nationwide. These efforts signify SDSS’s commitment to unity, cultural preservation, and societal progress.

Sanatan Dharma Swayamsevak Sangh: 75 Years of Service and Progress

The Sanatan Dharma Swayamsevak Sangh (SDSS) – Myanmar proudly celebrated its 75th anniversary, marking this significant milestone with grand festivities and a renewed commitment to cultural preservation and societal progress. The celebrations were held at 14 locations across six Vibhags, including events like havan-puja, rangoli, and Suryanamaskar competitions.

A Vibrant Celebration Across Myanmar

The festivities witnessed enthusiastic participation from 330 Baal, 387 Tarun, 316 Praoudh, and 570 Sevika, totaling 1,603 attendees. Each program reflected SDSS’s values of unity, discipline, and devotion.
Madhya and Dakshin Vibhags: The celebrations included 75 Karyakarta couples performing havan-puja, symbolizing collective dedication to Sanatan Dharma values.
Uttari Vibhag: A spirited Suryanamaskar competition was organized alongside havan, promoting physical and spiritual well-being.
Other Vibhags: Rangoli competitions added a creative touch to the programs, bringing communities together in vibrant expression.

These activities reinforced the significance of unity, cultural pride, and the collective commitment to preserving Sanatan Dharma traditions.

 

Pledges for the Year Ahead

On this momentous occasion, SDSS announced an ambitious plan of 75 initiatives to be undertaken from 14 January 2025 to 14 January 2026, including:
• Establishing 75 Shakhas across Myanmar.
• Deploying 75 Vistaraks for weekly outreach.
• Expanding Sangh’s presence to 75 cities.
• Organizing 75 Sanskar Sadhna Vargas to promote cultural values.
• Conducting blood donations by 750 individuals and planting 750 trees.
• Ensuring each Swayamsevak performs 750 Suryanamaskars throughout the year.
• Hosting Hindu, Youth, and Women’s Conferences.
• Conducting Yoga Camps at the Panchvati Yoga Kendra.
• Organizing competitions to enhance the physical and intellectual development of Swayamsevaks.
• Holding annual Sangh Shiksha Vargas at two locations.

A Legacy of Service and Unity

The 75th anniversary celebrations highlighted SDSS’s remarkable journey of preserving, promoting, and practicing the ideals of Sanatan Dharma. The Sangh’s dedication to fostering unity and cultural pride has made it a pillar of strength for the Hindu community in Myanmar.
